From participant to leader
We have been delivering the Cycling Leadership and Community Rehabilitation Programme at HMP Greenock alongside the Scottish Prison Service.
Participants build practical cycling and maintenance skills, gain confidence, and leave with something real to carry forward.
Why leadership, not just participation
Most programmes inside are things done to people. Training someone to lead a session instead — to run the group, check the bikes, teach the person next to them — is a different experience of yourself entirely. And leadership skills travel.
