A Bafang motor with an automatic internal gear hub, on a folding frame. Automatic shifting means the bike chooses the gear for you — no thinking, no crunching, no getting caught in the wrong ratio at a set of lights.

Inclusive Capability

Automatic gears are quietly one of the most useful accessibility features on any bike. If you have limited dexterity, arthritis in your hands, or you simply find gear changing one thing too many in traffic, this removes the problem entirely. The internal hub also means the gears are sealed away from Glasgow weather and road salt.

Second Life

Internal hub gears need servicing rather than replacing, which is the whole point of them — done properly they outlast several derailleur systems. We service them here.
